Chamber Pension Plan Net Asset Value (NAV) Update – September 2026

2 min read

The Chamber Pension Plan is pleased to share the latest NAV update as at September 30, 2026, providing members with a snapshot of how each Lifecycle Fund is performing.

NAV, or Net Asset Value, represents the per-unit value of each fund. It is calculated at the end of each month, reflects the underlying investment performance of the assets held in the fund, and directly affects the value of members’ retirement savings over time.

As at the end of September, the Plan continued to show the expected pattern across the Lifecycle range. Funds with longer time horizons, such as the 2050 and 2060 options, generally recorded stronger year-to-date performance because they maintain a higher allocation to growth-oriented assets. These portfolios are designed to pursue higher long-term returns, although that approach can also result in greater short-term movement in value. By contrast, the more conservative funds, including the Income Conservative Fund, typically deliver steadier, more modest growth that is more closely aligned with capital preservation.

The year-to-date figures also reflect how the Lifecycle structure is intended to work across different stages of retirement saving. Members with a longer period before retirement are usually invested in funds with greater exposure to equities and other growth assets, while those nearer retirement are positioned in a more defensive mix. This approach helps balance the opportunity for growth with the need to manage risk as retirement draws closer.

Why This Matters for Members

Each member’s contributions are automatically invested into a Lifecycle Fund based on age and expected retirement timeline. Over time, the investment mix adjusts to balance growth and risk as retirement approaches. The monthly NAV is an important indicator of progress, and the Plan is designed to support long-term financial security through disciplined, diversified investing.

NAV updates are best viewed in the context of long-term retirement saving. Market conditions will change from month to month, but consistent contributions and time in the market remain important parts of the retirement journey.

The Plan remains committed to prudent investment management, low costs, and delivering value across all stages of members’ retirement savings. Members may contact the Administrator’s Agent or visit www.chamberpension.ky for more information or to review their pension statement.
