The Department of Labour & Pensions announced that, effective 1 August 2025, the annual withdrawal for Retirement Savings Arrangements (RSAs) has increased by $400 to $15,400 per year. This adjustment, in accordance with the latest Department of Labour & Pensions guidance, is designed to provide greater flexibility and peace of mind for members as they transition into retirement.
If you received your annual RSA payment between January and July 2025, you are eligible for an additional payment to reflect this increase.
Remember: Your actual withdrawal may be higher depending on your age and account value; however, the annual payment is now $15,400. For further details, see the full guidance from the Department of Labour & Pensions.
AVCs are Fully Accessible at Retirement
Don’t forget, Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) are fully accessible at the normal age of pension entitlement. Making AVCs can be a powerful way to enhance your retirement income and provide added flexibility.
